NONGKEYU receives Industry Pioneer Award at the 44th China Fresh Corn Conference

On 2 December, the first Beijing (Pinggu) Fresh Corn Industry Development Conference and the 44th China Fresh Corn Conference opened in Pinggu, Beijing. NONGKEYU Group (Beijing Huaao NONGKEYU Breeding Development Co. Ltd.), with 27 years of deep work in fresh corn, strong brand building and industry leadership, received the “Industry Pioneer Award” from the organizing committee—high recognition of past achievements and of the group’s ability to lead industry development.

The high-profile conference was co-hosted by the Pinggu District Government, the China Fresh Corn Conference organizing committee and the China Fresh Corn Industry Innovation Alliance, and organized by Yukou Town Government, under the theme “Variety Decides Industry; Quality Creates Value.” Academicians, entrepreneurs and industry leaders discussed hot topics, upgrades and full-chain integration. At the opening, Pinggu Party Secretary Tang Hailong and Zhao Jiuran, corn chief scientist at the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences and chair of the China Fresh Corn Industry Innovation Alliance, unveiled the “Permanent Venue of the China Fresh Corn Conference,” anchoring a national exchange platform in the capital.

As a veteran and benchmark in fresh corn, NONGKEYU has stayed true to “breeding quality varieties and building a strong brand.” After 27 years of market tests and technical iteration, it has delivered popular varieties and, with stable quality, a solid supply chain and forward-looking layout, remains a recognized industry leader. The Industry Pioneer Award certifies “27 years of unremitting work and a brand that stands firm,” and affirms contributions to standardization, scale and high-quality development.

Besides the main summit, parallel events included new-variety launches, on-site promotion of mainstream national varieties, visits to Agricultural Zhongguancun, exhibitions of varieties, products, equipment and packaging, and investment talks—linking upstream and downstream players. Founded in 2005, the China Fresh Corn Conference has held 43 editions across more than 20 major production regions and is the earliest, most resource-rich and most influential full-chain platform in China, typically 2–4 sessions a year. Landing in Pinggu deepens government–industry–academia–research–application collaboration.

Looking ahead, NONGKEYU will take the Industry Pioneer Award as a new starting point, keep leading by example, focus on variety innovation, quality improvement and value-chain extension, break technical bottlenecks, optimize its product mix, repay the market with better products and services, take part in industry collaboration, and help China’s fresh-corn industry enter a higher-quality stage—contributing more “NONGKEYU strength” to rural revitalization and agricultural modernization.
