Yukou Town sits in western Pinggu District—the district’s western gateway—covering 64 km² and 20 administrative villages. Long known as a key town east of Beijing, it was named among the first national strong agricultural industry towns in 2023 and hosts the 2+8 Yukou Rural Revitalization Demonstration Area, a national digital peach-orchard standardization zone, and a national IoT breeding-hen standardization zone.
As a core area of Agricultural Zhongguancun, Yukou is entering a high-quality growth phase on strong natural resources and an agricultural base. Its vision is to build a nationally leading, globally influential agri-tech innovation centre—“China’s No.1 Agricultural Science Town”—focusing on smart agriculture, biotech seed, circular agriculture, intelligent farm equipment, synthetic biology and live e-commerce, while building an integrated base spanning research, trials, commercialization, demonstration and talent training, with a strong ecosystem and policy support for agri-tech companies.
With 27 years in agriculture, NONGKEYU has deep germplasm, technology and market strengths in biotech seed, smart farm services and end-market channels, integrating seed R&D, smart farm services and retail sales across the value chain. Responding to national agri-tech revitalization and leveraging Yukou’s Agricultural Zhongguancun location and policies, from November–December 2025 Yukou leaders and NONGKEYU’s management, R&D, sales, production, finance and general offices held multiple talks, agreeing to build a “government + enterprise + research institute” golden-triangle model through HQ relocation, resource integration, co-building and model innovation.
Through this strategic partnership, the parties aim for “results in three years, a benchmark in five,” making the golden-triangle model a showcase of agri-tech collaborative innovation—helping Yukou become China’s No.1 Agricultural Science Town and driving NONGKEYU’s high-quality upgrade across the agricultural value chain.
